‘Noita’ means ‘witch’ in Finnish.

The same herbal allies that accompanied my Finnish ancestors on their journey to a commune in Northern Mendocino County five generations ago are used today in my herbal formulations; here’s a nod to the plants’ resilience, as there’s a huge need to be working with these plant allies more than ever in today’s dynamic and ever-shifting world.

All of my products are handmade in my little solar powered apothecary in the Oakland hills. I grow many of my own ingredients, or source them intentionally from growers / makers on the west coast.

Tapping in to the great web of life, my products are made on a seasonal basis, when the herbs, flowers, and fruit can be harvested and processed at the peak of ripeness. I intend for my products to deliver wonderful results, but also the true essence and spirit of the plant allies of which they’re made.
