OUR MISSION:
Growing biodiversity with skincare.
Growing methods matter.
The better that we can cultivate the earth from which our plants grow will directly impact the quality of the materials, for not only us but for generations to come. Our family farm in west Sonoma County has been building soil and making compost for nearly half a century, something that we’re very proud of. Not only does this land produce top quality biodynamic and organic herbs, flowers, fruits, but it also serves as a quality benchmark from a skincare making perspective.
Skincare is a reflection of self care.
How we think, feed, rest, nourish, and move our bodies matters, and skincare is just the cherry on top that reflects our internal and external balance with nature. If you’re looking for more balanced, luminous skin, you’ve come to the right place. It’s a joy to be part of your skincare journey by helping to weave these herbs into your daily routines, whether it be by using yummy external products or drinking a cup of herbal tea.
Fresh water is a precious resource.
We believe that water is the divine source of life and should therefore be conserved. With a regenerative soil program, not only is less water being used to grow the plants, but the concentration of plant constituents is potent. The theraputic herbs we employ in our formulas were all thoughtfully grown and processed for maximum skin benefits.
‘Noita’ means ‘witch’ in Finnish.
The same herbal allies that accompanied my Finnish ancestors on their journey to a commune in Northern Mendocino County five generations ago are used today in my herbal formulations; here’s a nod to the plants’ resilience, as there’s a huge need to be working with these plant allies more than ever in today’s dynamic and ever-shifting world.
All of my products are handmade in my little solar powered apothecary in the Oakland hills. I grow many of my own ingredients, and source many of my own herbs from my family’s farms in west Sonoma County.
Tapping in to the great web of life, my products are made on a seasonal basis, when the herbs, flowers, and fruit can be harvested and processed at the peak of ripeness. I intend for my products to deliver wonderful results, but also the true essence and spirit of the plant allies of which they’re made.
I hope that Noita products ultimately helps you feel loved!!
