As a second generation flower farmer and formulator, Jolie Devoto founded Noita Botanicals to boldly express the land and the plant spirits from which the ingredients in her formulations come from. She believes in the potent power of plants’ theraputic and psycho-spiritual properties, as she transforms them from one form to another, creating the most delicious skincare your skin has ever met! In this ever-changing climate, it’s important to be as resilient as possible. That’s why we work closely with the entire supply chain of our business, from start to finish

  • All products are made in a solar powered apothecary, that charges the transportation vehicle to and from the farms.

  • Local sourcing ensures a lower carbon footprint and healthier communities.

  • Biodynamic and organic sourcing have a lesser footprint on the earth, and help rebuild ecosystems.

  • We compost all of our herbs and paper products ourselves, cutting down on garbage waste by 75%.

  • We package our product in glass bottles, because it’s easily reusable and recyclable.

  • All of our products are made with whole fresh plants at the peak of ripeness, ensuring the most bioavailability.

  • All products and are biodynamically or organically sourced, making them biodegradable and easy on the land and sea.

‘Noita’ means ‘witch’ in Finnish.

The same herbal allies that accompanied my Finnish ancestors on their journey to a commune in Northern Mendocino County five generations ago are used today in my herbal formulations; here’s a nod to the plants’ resilience, their intelligence, and power to treat us both on an emotional and physical level, through the generations.

I intend for my products to deliver wonderful results, but also the true essence and spirit of the land and plant allies from which they’re made.
